I need to spend some time today finishing up a couple more samples using Texture Magic. I am part of a presentation next Monday at my Litchfield Quilt Guild, Hands of Friendship. At that guild, we are signed up in teams to plan the monthly meetings. Michelle Rambow, Linda Piepenburg, and I are doing a program on embellishments. Michelle is going to present the history of embellishment, Linda is going to demonstrate a technique, (forgot which one), and I will demonstrate Texure Magic. I am working on a cupcake tote for little girls, a Celebrate Quilt, and a Li'l Charmer block. They are all projects in process but I need to finish them by Monday night. Will post pictures when they are complete. Will have to also replace my camera, which quit working. Texture Magic is fascinating and creative to work with. Its uses are endless.

It's good that you are keeping busy indoors, as outdoors is an iffy thing. The frost on the trees is really beautiful, but the accompanying fog is not.
ReplyDeleteI spent the morning at the D/C Expo as rep for the Friends of the Cokato Area Library, my other avocation. We were set up in a hallway between 2 rooms, which at first seemed like a really bad spot. However, it turned out that everyone had to pass up at least 2 times as they toured the various booths. Sheila, the librarian, and I visited with lots of folks, which was fun, but didn't get any more to sign up as members of our friends group.
More to the point, is that I toured the booths and picked up my year's supply of pens, note pads and sundry other bits and pieces, and had a free pancakea and sausage breakfast/lunch. There were no booths related to quilting or crafts of any type, which would have been fun to view. Sandy, Texture Magic may have been just the thing!!!
Now, I plan to sit a bit with my feet up. Ahhhh.
