On the Road with Texture Magic

I spent the day on the road on Wednesday calling on quilt shops and delivering Texture Magic and patterns. There is so much excitement out there about Texture Magic and its creative uses. My first stop was the Flying Goose Quilt Shop in New London. Sherie Heitke has completed the flap of her Serenity bag and it is awesome! She used batiks and had a blast with her very first project. She now also carries Glitter thread and prewouond bobbins with Bottom Line thread. I found fabric for my Wave Bag that I will make with my Litchfield guild in March. I am going to use, guess what? Texture Magic on my main fabric. I will post the picture later.

My second stop was at Quilts on Broadway in Foley. Barb has been selling Texture Magic for awhile but needed a new supply. She also picked out the Bibs pattern and the little Charmers pattern, in addition to the Tote pattern that she always carries.

My next stop was to purchase a new camera so that I can post pictures of my adventures here. Remembering to take pictures is the first step, transfering them to the computer is the second. Stay tuned.

My final stop was at Gone to Pieces Quilt Shop in Kimball. Penny has decided to carry the Easter Egg Table Runner. Her shop was the first one where I sold Texture Magic so it is very special to me. She has a couple of samples using Texture Magic as well.

DeAnn's in Litchfield was at my demo on Thursday night and she also carries Texture Magic and will also carry the Easter Egg runner as soon as they come in on Friday.

This was the most exercise I have had since I broke my leg. Then I played bridge last night with my bridge group. Slow to wake up this morning.

Off to go play with the camera and work on texturizing a piece of fabric for Thimbleberries for their Open House in March.

  1. My, this week has gone so fast. I succumbed to the cold my husband has suffered from the last 2 weeks, and had to shorten my stay with my grandkids and sleep away the rest of the week. Lost my voice--what is the use of being awake if you can't talk.
No sewing during the week. All the projects that started so well at the mini-retreat are still waiting.
I'm enjoying the Lexulous and Wordscraper games on Facebook. way to go Sandy.

  2. I had no idea that you did not feel well. Your game-playing doesn't seem to suffer. Hope you are feeling better.

I need to do the Sew Friendly Quilt Guild newsletter today. I finished my Thimbleberries tote bag yesterday with Texture Magic. Be sure to come to Open House at the Thimbleberries STudio Store in Hutchinson on March 6 from 10-4. There will be prizes, book signings, and fun. Demos from 1 to 4 on Texture Magic, chenilling, yo-yo making, and machine quilting.

  3. I'll mark my calendar for Sat. in Hutch. Sounds like it will be a fun time. Thanks for the notice.
I am feeling better, and occasionally can croak out a sentence or two. This is not a fun cold! And lots of folks seem to have gotten it. Hope you can avoid it.
